Q.

#asktheexperts Hi, my baby is two months old now and he weighed 3.15 kgs when he was born but at the time of discharge he came down to 2.08 kgs. then when we went for a follow up check up two weeks later he weighed 3 kgs and now another two weeks later he is 3.5 kgs. he is taking normal feed and passes urine and motion regularly. however his weight gain is very slow. Not sure how to work it out. please let me know if there's any way i could fix this. Thanks in advance!

A. Hi mommy Weight is absolutely normal The more u feed the more milk secretion will be there Have shatavari tablet with warm milk twice a day to increase bm Take care The more relaxed you are while breastfeeding, the better your milk will flow. Make sure your chair or bed is comfortable and try to remove any distractions. For example, turn off your phone or put a ‘do not disturb’ sign on your door. Have a glass of water on hand for yourself too.
