#asktheexperts hi doctor my lo hates tummy time due to reflux, how should I promote it, Currently he does it on my tummy instead of floor

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as g e r d is very common problem in small children less than 6 months of age and it does not have any permanent treatment and the problem decreases with increasing age of the child and the importantg thing is that you have to keep the child in upright position for more duration for which gerd chairs are available and at the same time you have to continue and tested medicines given by the doctor.
reflux is very common cause of recurrent cough cold as well as not gaining weight in infants.

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. hello the tummy time is causing your child reflux problem then it would be better to check with your doctor and she will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which could be better and nothing to worry about
