#asktheexperts hi doctor just wanted to check here..My baby Sara in putting her finger in ear often..we have discussed the same with her doctor and he asked us to use one ear drop for one week...but the issue persist..please advise on this

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. rubbing of ear as well as itching of the ears is totally normal.
if the child is not crying do not worry about it and to decrease the itching sensation you can apply coconut oil over it. x
do not use earbuds to clean the internal ear cavity.
external ear can be cleaned with the help of clean cotton cloth.x
treatment is given only if the child is crying with pain while itching.
for pain you can give paracetamol

as issue is persisting ,it is advisable to inform your treating doctor regarding this.
mam ,as it happens because of cold and teething too.
please check for it.
