#asktheexperts Hi Doc, my baby is 6months old...he is passing dark greenish poop from almost one month...we have stopped giving iron supplements 10 days back..but still his poop is in dark greenish colour and smelly...we have started with solids giving him Nestum Rice... Could you please help me in finding the reason why his poop is dark greenish colour and smelly..Baby is active and no fever.

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. as ur baby is active, not to worry about it, Is your baby on formula feeds? If so its quite normal to have green stools on formula fed babies.
If stools are soft and easy to pass do nothing.
If stools are loose, watery, foul smelling, consult paedriatician .
