hello doctor,
My son is 19 month old. but till now he doesn't say a word. if I try to teach him anything, he doesn't pay attention. physically he is very active. he observes day to day activity very minutely and try to imitate it. But if i try to teach him anything specific, like where's ur eyes, ears etc ..he just doesn't pay attention. Till now he doesn't even say mummy or baba. should I consult speech therapist?

it is important to meet the doctor to get the child examined. milestones assessment of the child needs to be done which will tell whether the child is having any development delay or not.s
the child will be assessed for four major milestones that is 
1.gross motor milestone 
2.fine motor milestone 
3.social milzestone 
4.language milestone.
