#asktheexperts hello doctor, my son is 10 months old now. since from yesterday for him little bit cough started.i used Alex- p syrup. today morning I gave him 2ml one time. for the cough which syrup I need to use for my son. please suggest me.

A. any cough most of the time may be allergic or infective which needs proper assessment. initially you can start by giving steam inhalation to your baby (given indirectly by keeping the baby on the shoulder and taking the steam from a distance) which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby comfortable.cough suppressants are usually avoided in children,it needs to be examined first before giving any kind of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance along with proper d'rosage for the kind of problem.
