#asktheexperts hello doctor my daughter is 11 months old sometimes she has body temperature around 99 degree F from the armpit we check.. is it normal.. what is the normal range in babies.. while taking from armpit. Thanks a lot

Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose gff. Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations.
cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
