#asktheexperts Hello doctor my baby is not going to potty regularly ,previously he used to go to potty daily but from few days he is going for potty every 5 days or 6 days and while he passing struggling and the consistency is too solid Any reason and he is now 4months old

A. normally hardness of the stool is not seen when you are giving only breastfeeding to the child. it is advisable to continue only breastfeeding and nothing else till completion of 6 months of age. if still the hard stool continues you have to visit the doctor to find the cause. but if you are giving formula mixlk then there is a possibility that the milk is not properly digested by the child and you will have to change the brand of formula milk. also do noxt give any food to the child except milk at this age.
