#asktheexperts hello doc,iam a mother of 18 month old..iam still breastfeeding her and now i want to stop feeding but my daughter is not drinking any formula milk and i dont know how to make her leave breastfeeding.please if u could help me out

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. Dear mum it is recommended to continue breastfeeding till 2 years because of nutritional benefit and it also strengthens immunity.
breastfeeding should be stopped gradually for it to be less stressful for you as well as baby
give filling meals
drop one breastfeed every week
father or other family member can help with feeding and putting child to sleep
build a bedtime routine that does not revolve around breastfeeding for example read a story sing a lullaby ,rub child's back
