#asktheexperts Dark blue spots on back haven’t faded on my baby! Doctor said they will fade by 1-1.5 year! These marks are there from birth!

A. Hello, it may be Mongolian spot. It is very common in any part of the body of dark-skinned babies. Mongolian spots are harmless and do not need any medical intervention. These lesions are most prominent at the age of one year and start regressing thereafter, with most of them disappearing by early childhood.

Its Mongolian spots is that every child has from the child from the time of its birth but mangolan spots are the most common think they are going to be on every part of the body specially on the hips of your child and your doctor is right there going to go away by the age of 1 1/2 years up to 2 years
