A. DTP 1 vaccine is compulsory as this vaccine prevents Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis. This is given when the baby is 6 weeks old. These are contagious and fatal diseases. Rotavirus 1 vaccine prevents Rotavirus infection which causes severe diarrhoea and vomiting. This is optional vaccine but highly necessary as Rotavirus infections are highly contagious. It is also given when the baby is 6 weeks old. IPV 1 vaccine, Hepatitis B, Hib 1, PCV 1 vaccines should be given when the baby is 6 weeks old. When the baby is 10 weeks old, DTP 2, Hib 2, IPV 2, Hepatitis B3, Rotavirus 2 and PCV 2 vaccines should be administered.
