Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudana can be prepared in breast milk or formula fv milk.
initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be gradually increased up till at least three meals in a day

When Your child completes the age of 26 weeks that would be the right time for you to go ahead with semisolid food before that it’s very important that you should only be clinging on to the mothers feeding or formula feeding whatever you are giving to your child
