You should start brushing your baby's teeth once the first tooth erupts. Use a soft bristtle toothbrush and rice grain size quantity of toothpaste till the age of 3 years. Before the first tooth erupts, you should clean the gums and tongue using a damp gauze or a clean cotton cloth
