Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after the exact cause is diagnosed.it may be any infection or it may be allergic too.it may be associated with fever too for which calpol can be given.
As the first line of treatment for relief you can give steam inhalation which would be quite helpful .to relieve blocked nose nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup should be given only after a proper evaluation according to the type of cough .self medication may not be so helpful so please consult your doctor once. if the cough is productive you lpcan give brozeet-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.
