A. between birth to 6 months you have to give only milk to the child in diet (milk contains all the essential nutrients required for the growth of the child). if the growth of the child is proper and the child is healthy then no health supplements are required. the doctor will decide if the child requires vitamin d supplements as well as multivitamin and iron supplements after examination. if you are taking the child in sunlight for 10 to 15 minutes daily than no need to give vitamin d drops if the weight gain of the child is more than 20 to 30 gram per day there is no need to give any multivitamins. please note that it is not advisable to give colic medicine / gripe water / ghutti c/ constipation medicine / bonissan as well as any other digestive medicines on regular basis because they are medicines and have side effects.

A. Hai good morning !! Until one year Vitamin D3 is compulsory and enough as all other nutrients, minerals are supplemented with breast milk . Only in case of deficiency calcium, iron or minerals supplements are prescribed. Until 5 complete months exclusive breast milk or formula milk from 6 month onwards start semi solid foods once or twice a day along with milk.
