Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 10 m old girl3 years agoA. Fever is when the temperature is more then 99 degree . Paracetamol can be given for the fever every 6 hourly of fever is reoccurring frequently. Fever may be due to any viral infection so mostly will subside in 3 days other wise consult a doctor near by.

Sir You can give Calpol or paracetamol whatever you have available at home as of now that’s going to be the best and the safest medicine to be given to the child along with that if the fever is on the higher side you can also do cold sponging on the body
