#AskTheExpert our baby has diarrhea from 2days,is it normal or should i consilt doctor?

Author of questionFather of a 4 yr 5 m old girl4 years agoA. she is 4months 4days baby, and there is no vomitings and no loss of appetite.. can we use any medication.. the main problem is the transitional zone is getting reddish as we rub after every motions passed..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite .xc
supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose .
Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
