#AskTheExpert myself baby mother is covid positive in quarantine now baby is having fever 37.8 Celsius. Has nausea and high fever at night fever come down after giving fepanil bit at night it shoots again to 37.8 after 3 hours of giving fepanil. what can be done please advise as soon as possible

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. he might also catch covid infection, keep temperature checking 6 hourly.. And give paracetamol drops / syp in proper dose.
Fevers higher than 104° F. should be attended to immediately.
Dress your child lightly. Use a sheet instead of a blanket to cover her in bed.
see that room is adequately ventilated
Breastfeed or give your baby formula often to maintain hydration of body.
Give soft easy to digest diet.
maintain proper hygein.
If persistent for more than 48 hours,OR accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed ,consult your paediatrician
