one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth.
any kind of infection specially any chronic infection should be ruled out and treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prcfohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.

cereals and whole grains..
involve the baby in stretching exercise as touching the feet in standing position or in sitting position stretching the legs.. some hanging exercise.. swimming..
