Q.

#asktheexpert My daughter is 2 months old and she is suffering from cough and cold. We have consulted a paediatrician and she suggested her Maxtra Drops(6 drops thrice for 10 days), Ascoril LS drops(8 drops thrice for 10 days) and Moxclav Drops(12 drops twice for 7 days). It's been 8 days since we visited her but my daughter still has a cough and whenever I am feeding her, a sound is coming like "ghorghor". As my daughter is only 2 months old I am very worried about this, she also vomits whenever I am feeding her. Kindly suggest me what to do for her betterment.

A. Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant and deconliugestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please give the baby indirect steam. Also you can put kids Vaporub on kids clothes near chest area. Mother should not take any cold water or liquids. Follow doctors advise and all will be well. Thanks and take care
