#AskTheExpert My baby is doing green poop since have started iron drops and he is doing once in a day. is that normal?

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. The colors of the school in the baby will be ranging from light yellow to dark green depending on the type of feeding baby will take if you are giving iron drops it will be black also

yes it is normal
just breastfeed your child as per his or her needs.
as green poop is also caused by imbalance between foremilk and hindmilk , please breastfeed your child on each breast at least 20 minutes so he or she can get full fat hindmilk well.
make changes in your diet also as it might be a reaction to the food which you ate.
but if your child passes green stool with mucus and foul smell then you should consult your pediatrician.
