#asktheexpert my baby is 6weeks old and from last 5 days, he didn't poop. please guide

As its common to see in babies under 3 month not to worry. Its totally depends on the milk feed they consume. Breast feb babies dont poop for 10 days too. Formula fed babies poop once in two days.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. It is very common that children less than 6 months of age may not pass stool for sometime 10 days also.
Slight discomfort as well as straining while passing urine and stool is also normal.
You have to just take care of colic pain as well as gas in the abdomen and do not worry about zthe frequency of the stool if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid.
please note that intermittentd crying that you see might be due toz colic pain and not due to constipation.

please give plenty of breast milk
please give daily massage with Babyhug coconut oil
please apply Babyhug tummy roll on for better digestion
