#asktheexpert my baby is 5 month old....she is having bloody stool with mucus is it normal?

A. the child is suffering from acute gastroenteritis (either viral or bacterial) examination is needed by the doctor for need of antibiotics. can give probiotics like econorm / sporolac / enterogermina one to txwo times as per dr's recommendations. give easily digestible food. ors to be given if loose motion is in more quantity to prevent dehydration and ensure adequate glucose level in the bodyx. syp emeset / ondem 5ml for vomiting.

A. It is basically and intestine infection and nothing else that’s very common with kids at this age so I would recommend you to just get a check with your doctor if they advised to go for a stool test get it done otherwise Amy just advise you with a course of antibiotics itself only
