#AskTheExpert my baby is 5 and half month old...at night after 2 hours she drinks milk ..what to do

A. That's ok. My baby also drinks milk every two hours. Babies get thirsty too. So they drink milk instead of water.

A. thank you...she is demanding milk more so my mother in law is saying it's time to introduce solid food...now my baby is 8 kg

A. Milk is very important for babies specially in the initial days of life breast milk is very important and should be given exclusively till 5-6 months of age . formula milk should be given only as a substitute to breast milk if due to any reason it is not sufficient to fulfill the demand of the baby. according to the age different stage of formula milk are there like stage 1 till 6 months of age stage 2 from 6 months to 12 months fyand thereafter stage 3 . after one year cows milk should be started and any kind of hetalth drink powder in milk should be used only after the completion of two years of age .

A. good morning I would recommend you to try to continue feeding on the same pattern is this ideal situation of the child is asking for milk at an interval of every 2 hours you don't have to worry at all
