Q.

#asktheexpert my baby is 45 days old. For last 2 days she takes brest feed only for 10 mins max. Even if the gap between the feeds goes upto 3-4 hours still she takes the next feed for 10 mins only.

A. It’s absolutely all right. It is most likely that the babies meeting the feeding needs in the first 10 minutes only. If the flow of milk is good, then this is more than sufficient.

A. wake her up. better to show to specialist always as they get the correct diagnosis. try to avoid self and extra medication that will only complicate this and create more damage to the child
