#asktheexpert my baby is 42 days old .she is feeding only 50 ml per feed for 2-3 hours she is not gaining weight also

A. In the first 10 days, the baby will lose 10% of the body weight and thereafter will start gaining around 15 to 20 g per day so around 40 days of age of the baby will be around the same weight that was around the time of birth. You cannot force feed the baby, but consult a doctor if the growth is less
