#AskTheExpert my baby has always runny nose if I gave her medicine it will stop after 2 or 3 days again the nose will start

A. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated . Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine . As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful . Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold cafn be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptomsg . Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

A. Turmeric is known to treat viral infections such as cough and cold due to its antiseptic properties. Make a glass of warm milk with turmeric powder and give it to the child every night. It relieves a sore throat and a runny nose right away. Milk provides energy to the child since it is high in calcium.
