A. Spitting up after feeding is quite common in infants, especially around 3 months old. It’s usually not a cause for concern if your baby is otherwise healthy and gaining weight normally. Common reasons for spitting up include: 1. **Overfeeding**: Giving too much milk can cause your baby to spit up. 2. **Swallowing Air**: Babies often swallow air while feeding, which can lead to spitting up. 3. **Reflux**: Gastroesophageal reflux (GER) is common and typically resolves on its own. However, if your baby is spitting up large amounts frequently, appears uncomfortable, has trouble gaining weight, or shows other symptoms like projectile vomiting, it’s best to consult your pediatrician. They can assess whether there might be an underlying issue and provide guidance on managing it.
