#asktheexpert my 7month old son is facing cough problem...he was admitted for 4 days coz wbc got increased...now he is fine but his cough is not cleared yet...plz tell me what to do.

Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 9 m old boy4 years agoA. Yes. ...we gave him steam..all medication is over now . .but still I think some cough is present...so can u tell me any home remedies

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. if your baby is having any cough most of the time either it could be allergic or infective which needs proper evaluation. initially you can start giving steam inhalation to your baby which will help in relieving symptoms to some extent and will make the baby cocomfrmfortable.cough suppressants are usually avoided in children,it needs to be examined first before giving any kind of medicine. so it will be better if you consult your doctor for proper guidance to suggest you proper medication along with proper dosage for the kind of problem.
