#AskTheExpert My 4 years old baby is having cough. Doctor prescribed Asthalin syrup. Is that fine to give the syrup

A. yes This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child. For cold / running nose give syp wikoryl AF 5 ml to the child 2- 3 times per day. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold) Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block. For wet coughing you can give syrup ascoril LS 5ml twice daily to the child Indirect steam help in decreasing coughing For fever and pain give paracetamol Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water czombination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. Give warm water to drink.

A. good morning I would recommend you to follow your doctors advised she would be able to guide you better way it will be the best medicine to be given to the child to make sure that is no problem
