#AskTheExpert my 3 month 1 week daughter caught intense cold ,also got fever,cough, running nose on 23rd of this month. I consulted local paediatrician. But there doesn't seems much improvement even after 5 days of medication. how much time does it take to completely get well?

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and  if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion  it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with vdecongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold 
In  viral illness there can be hcough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

Sometimes the things can take a little longer time than 3 to 5 days also it can be a week to 10 days so I would recommend you to talk to your doctor once again and as them to change the medicines because this is not helping and maybe they can help you with the course of antibiotics to go ahead with
