for cold so. cold is due to mostly viral infection and can be with cough . Signs can be from running nose , sneezing, throat pain , change in voice .
At home can try for indirect steam inhalation with steam around baby .
Cough dry or wet then can be given cough syrup as per need 
Dry cough usually gets better in days .
Check for fever or breathing difficult y. If fever above 99 then immediately see a doctor.

you can give mixture of honey and ginger in one tsp quantity twice in a day.
