A. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times peer day. If the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool. No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to meet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard. It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age

A. If your baby is continually having stool that contains mucus and you're concerned, contact your child's pediatrician. If you notice red, bloodlike tinges in your baby's poop or your baby is acting ill for no known reason, call your child's doctor.
