#asktheexpert is the body temperature in fever of 1 year old is as same as adults...please suggest anymedicine for fever

ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician2 years agoA. Any temperature above 100 F is fever in babies
Always measures temperature in armpits only.
No need to give any fever medicine if fever is below 100 F.
If asociated complaints like cough, cold, loose motion
Treat that accordingly as per ur pediatricians advice.
Keep ur baby well hydrated.
Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day.
Visit ur pediatrician once.

Crocin you can give as of now and use the temperature in same 99°F or more than that is going to be considered fever for the child as it is considered for adults temperature is same for everybody that is a standard temperature so if your child has a fee but you can repeat the medicine again after six hours
