#AskTheExpert Is glucose tolerance test mandatory to do...my gynaecologist hasn't suggested me yet. I am 27 weeks pregnant..whereas I went to my mother's gynaecologist just for second opinion she suggested me. I don't have family history of diabetes. just that my grandfather got diabetic at 50 to 60 age

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 2 years agoA. yes glucose tolerance test is being done in all the cases whether you have a history of diabetes or not it is done because in many cases diabetes may occur during pregnancy which is known as gestational diabetes
