This can occurs due to weather changes and temperature variations or simple cold and rarely infection.

kindly give nasal saline drops (nasoclear /nasivion s)every three hourly and since it is a salt water/saline water it does not have any side effects and can be given again and again for nasal blockage and respiratory cough.
It will dissolve mucus in nose and throat.
For fever and pain give paracetamol
Try to prevent temperature variations around the child and you can also give indirect steam inhalation and if there is no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor  f

Cold most of the time is a  viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine  which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and  according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any  fever is there paracetamol can be given to rtreduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours  if required .
