POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy7 months agoA. It's normal for a baby’s bowel movements to change when switching from one formula to another, like from Nanpro to Lactogen. Formula-fed babies often have less frequent and firmer stools compared to breastfed babies. The sticky texture of the poop could be due to the change in the type of formula, as different formulas have varying levels of digestibility.
However, if your baby seems comfortable, not showing signs of constipation (such as straining, discomfort, or hard stools), and is eating and sleeping well, there is usually no need to worry. Just ensure your baby is staying hydrated and monitor for any other changes, like discomfort or a significant decrease in appetite.
If the bowel movements become more irregular, very hard, or if your baby is having trouble passing stool, it's a good idea to consult your pediatrician.
