Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Thumb sucking in infants is a very normal phenomenon and its called mouthing reflex and nothing to be worried about it just maintain proper hygiene and with time this thing will go .
In the toddlers thumb sucking habit is also seen many a times which could be phycological cause and feeling of insecurity or some stress . Just try to make the child comfortable and divert in some activities also spend good time with the child .
In extreme case withdrawal can be tried with some solutiocn availvable which are bitter like femite lotion . It needs to be applied locally .

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good morning it is advisable for you to start applying a little bit of aloe vera pulp or Neem juice on the thumb of the baby doesn't have to make sure that the flavour is not good and the child does not want to have it
