A. the child will be able to say meaningful words by 15 months to 18 months of age and by 2 years of age the child will be able to say 2 or 3 words with meaning in a sentence. sometimes the child may not be able to talk but the child would be able to understadnd and follow the commands and orders given by the parents. if you feel that the child is having some delay it is advisable to meet the pediatrician who will decide if the child reqduires any therapy or not in the form of speech therapy as well as other modes of therapy for development in social and language milestone.

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two years of age . just make the child comfortable ajvnd do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to speak sentences properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
