#AskTheExpert hi.. my sons birth weight was 2.3kgs born at 37 weeks 3 days. he was born on 4th May 2022 (4.5 months) his current weight is approx 5.5 kgs. the growth curve is showing his percentile to be at 1.7%... he is being exclusively breastfed. please advice if this is normal..

weight seems to be fine
by 6 months babies weight almost doubles by his birth weight
mother should eat good proteins for better quality of milk
stay safe

NikithaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. hello baby gaining a minimum of six hundred grams to 800 grams per month means baby is getting sufficient breast milk and is absolutely nothing to worry if incase the bm is not sufficient then give baby infant formula milk stage 1 using a bpa free bottle like Babyhug .
