#AskTheExpert hi my daughter has throat infection along with cold and cough..so what causes for throat infection??

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitustrsives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is thtere paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl3 years agoA. Hi There could be a lot of reasons for throat infection it could be sometimes maybe your child has eaten something which did not suit which were Saavn or something and that is how I can suggest you as of now
