#asktheexpert Hi doctor, y baby boy is 5 months old. He had urine injection and as suggested by paediatrician we gave him Taxim-o syrup for 7 days and her was fine till he was taking syrup but now we have stopped it and again he stains while passing urine. Should we again start the antibiotics or do the test. Please suggest

A. Antibiotics cannot be given like this continuously there is a course of 3 to 5 days or maximum seven days whatever your doctors advise still if you’re facing the problem and you’ll have to recheck with your doctor for that don’t give any antibiotics otherwise

Q. Hi , my baby boy is not peeing much as earlier. He had suffered from the loose motion. Now urinate only 4 times in a day . we consult paediatrician and done urine and stool test . urine protein found trace other is normal. but doctor said trace is common it will go away by own , we should feed baby plenty of water.
