#AskTheExpert hi doctor, my daughter fell from the chair and her forehead was hit badly and swollen. is it necessary to consult a doctor??

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. at present apply ice cube for relief for swelling and pain Further it is advisable to consult your local doctor for appropriate advice in this regard if there is need for investigations also

PallaviMom of a 7 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. hello...If a baby falls from bed put cold compress immediately (ice pack or ice in a handkerchief) also mostly baby can have a head injury that doesn't necessarily lead to brain damage. For example, if a baby falls and bumps, bruises, or cuts his head, this doesn't necessarily mean that brain damage has occurred...just make sure if baby is vomiting too much then tell ur pediatrician about this ons. (The head injury must impact the brain in some way before it's considered brain damage.)
