#AskTheExpert Hi doctor. my baby sometimes has spots of blood in poop. I consulted a pediatrician and he checked there was no local injury near anal area, prescribed antibiotics and got ultrasound and occult blood stool test done. ultrasound and stool test are all normal. antibiotics course also completed. still sometimes like once in 3-4 days she poops with few spots of blood. what could be the reason?

A. Treating your baby's constipation Give your baby a warm bath to relax their bowel. Gently massage your baby's tummy in a clockwise direction. Make firm but gentle circular motions from the belly button outwards. Lie your baby on their back and gently move their legs backwards and forwards in a 'bicycle' motion.
