#AskTheExpert Hi Doctor, My baby of 1 year 10 months not speaking yet. she spoke at 10 months little words even later also now and then but she never continues. Now she isn't speaking but shouts and talks something ba aa dha kind of. please suggest in this.

Hello mommy, Call your doctor if your child: by 12 months: isn't using gestures, such as pointing or waving bye-bye. by 18 months: prefers gestures over vocalizations to communicate. Some babies simply start talking earlier than others. Over the next few months, however, your toddler should start using words and be able to speak them more clearly. By 15 months, most children know between 5 and 15 words. If your child is not beginning to speak at that point, bring it up with the pediatrician.
