#AskTheExpert hi doctor, my baby having 2 months old he is not passing stools regularly..almost every one week or 10 days he is passing stool..is it normal?

A. constipation in small babies is quite commonly seen and is more with babies who are fed with formula milk. Usually constipation of few days is considered as normal in babies below 6 months of age,you can give bonnisan drops 3 times a day to your child will and give frequent feeding, usually medicines or suppositories are avoided in such a case .if baby is having gastric pain you can give collicaid drops.give proper tummy time and burping to avoid gastric troublebw. In case of severe constipation of above one week you can give suppository but only under medical advice.
