#asktheexpert hi doctor I have a query regarding feeding. I have been feeding my baby breastmilk plus formula since birth. He is 4.5 months old now. I have always wanted to get rid of formula milk. However, now I have been feeling that no matter how much I feed him and my supply is good enough for him he still needs a Lil amount of formula milk to end his feeding session. Can babies get used to formula milk if given for months?

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Yes it can happen. Please take Shatavari powder with milk twice a day to increase breast milk supply. Also feed the baby often which also helps in increasing breast milk supply. Masaage your breasts gently before feeding the baby. You can also use breast pump to take out milk which also helps in production of breast milk.
