Q.

#AskTheExpert HI DOCTOR, I AM 7 MONTHS PREGNANT NOW. MY FIRST TRIMESTER BLOOD TEST SHOWED TSH LEVEL 12.1. BUT MY CONSULTING DOCTOR FAILED TO NOTICE THE SAME. DURING 6TH MONTH CHECK DOCTOR FOUND THYROID LEVELS WERE HIGH AND STARTED MEDICATION TILL THEN. DO THIS HAVE ANY IMPACT ON BABY'S GROWTH? SHOULD I TAKE ANY CARE?

A. Most likely should not have any impact on your child and after the baby is born you need to do the blood test to rule out thyroid disorder in the baby. Keep taking medications on a daily basisWrite Your Answer Here
