Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you cdan give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if dfever is repeating.
and you can also do cold sponging of the body if required

please avoid self medication
please consult with your pediatrician about this matter because physical examination is important for proper diagnosis and treatment
if necessary you can give paracetamol drops to your child
