Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello, My baby is one and a half months old and is getting fed on formula milk. The issue is that since last few days my daughter vomits out the one time fed milk once a day. Rest of the feeds in the entire day goes well with her. Is this normal or should I visit a doctor? Her motion and urine pass are all normal the entire day.

A. I have inverted nipples since the beginning so for the initial few days I couldn’t feed her and then later we tried a lot but the baby is not able to suck through my nipples. So from the day 1 she is fed on formula milk only. The issue is if in the entire day she is fed around 8-9 times, one time only she vomits out the milk and rest of the time she receives it well.

A. Breastfeeding is always a very important factor for the baby and mother and many times there are some problem faced by mother because of either wrong position while feeding lack of proper diet stress related factors. A proper is counselling is required which can be done by a lactatiogoonal counsellor along with a proper diet with plenty of liquids some supplements may be helpful like shatavari . Alsxo try to avoid giving top milk in initial stage specially with bottle feeding which may be the culprit for lactational failure most of the time .
